Baking / Production Manager

VGN Consult is seeking an experienced Baking/Production Manager for a full-time role in Lagos (Ago Palace). The role involves overseeing daily bakery operations, ensuring product quality, driving production efficiency, and leading a team to meet business goals and customer expectations.

What you would do

• Plan, organise and manage daily baking and production activities to ensure efficiency and timely delivery.
• Develop production schedules to meet demand while minimising waste.
• Ensure consistent quality and appearance of bakery products.
• Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate timely replenishment.
• Maintain production equipment and uphold hygiene; ensure adherence to food safety, quality standards and HSE regulations.
• Lead and manage production staff to optimise performance.

• 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar bakery or food manufacturing role.
• Strong knowledge of baking processes, recipes, ingredients and production techniques.
• Experience in leading and managing a production team.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP and ISO 22000.
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
