Automechanical Technician Mechatronics

Automechanical Technician – Mechatronics is a full-time role in Lagos for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and fleet equipment, with a focus on mechatronic systems. The position targets candidates with mechanical or automotive engineering backgrounds and experience in heavy vehicles, to support fleet maintenance and diagnostics.

What you would do

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks
• Perform servicing, repairs, component replacement, adjustments and system testing
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, braking, ABS/EBS, lighting, sensors and other control systems
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide technical support
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, parts used and maintenance history
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks, trailers and fleet equipment

What they are asking for

• 3–5 years' experience on heavy-duty trucks
• Proven experience as Mechanical/Automotive Technician or similar
• Knowledge of truck brands used in Nigeria (e.g., Sino, Howo)
• Experience with ECUs, CAN-bus, vehicle tracking/telematics, sensors/actuators, ABS/EBS (advantageous)
• HND/BSc in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
• Good reporting and documentation skills
