Automation Manager
About this role
Strivo Labs in Lagos is looking for an experienced Automation Manager to lead and improve automation systems and AI-powered workflows across the organisation. The role involves developing and executing an automation roadmap, overseeing AI workflow deployment, and managing technical and external teams while ensuring security, reliability and good documentation. The successful candidate should combine technical expertise in workflow automation and AI integrations with strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management abilities. Responsibilities span programme management, AI workflow governance, team leadership, executive reporting, and vendor and infrastructure oversight. The company specialises in end-to-end digital solutions, including automation and AI-powered workflows for clients.
What you would do
- Develop and maintain the automation roadmap aligned with business goals
- Manage the full automation lifecycle from requirements to deployment and optimisation
- Define scope, timelines, owners, and success criteria for automation projects
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce manual work
- Lead automation initiatives across the organisation and monitor development, testing, and production stages
- Ensure all production workflows have SOPs, escalation procedures, and rollback plans
- Monitor AI workflow performance and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain a central knowledge base for automation documentation
- Oversee design, development, testing and deployment of AI-powered workflows
- Coordinate requirements, implementation and architecture with internal teams and external partners
What they are asking for
- Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms (eg n8n, Make, Zapier) or equivalent
- Experience integrating AI and LLM APIs into workflows
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, API integrations, webhooks, and workflow orchestration
- Experience leading technical teams or cross-functional projects
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions
- Background in fintech or regulated industries is an advantage
- Experience with executive reporting, performance monitoring and dashboards
- Experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, governance frameworks and incident management procedures
- Experience with WhatsApp Business API, CRM automation and business process integrations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field and 4–8 years in automation management
