Stockgap Fuels Limited is expanding its LPG operations and is hiring for an Automation and Instrumentation Incharge. The role focuses on owning and maintaining the plant's automated control systems such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, gas detection, and Emergency Shutdown systems to ensure safe and accurate cylinder filling and process control. The position is based in Abuja, FCT, and targets candidates with significant experience in industrial automation and supervision. The company operates in the downstream oil and gas sector with a plant maintenance and engineering focus.

What you would do

• Supervise Automation & Instrumentation Operators and lead root-cause analysis for control system downtime.
• Manage PLC/SCADA/HMI control systems for the cylinder-filling carousel, check-weighers, and bulk storage instrumentation.
• Oversee control system backups, user security access, and automation improvement projects.
• Execute the instrument calibration programme for load cells, weighing scales, pressure transmitters, level gauges, and flow meters to required accuracy standards.

What they are asking for

• Minimum 6–8 years’ experience in industrial automation/instrumentation.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• PLC/SCADA/DCS programming or configuration certification is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic, Instrumentation & Control Engineering (2nd Class Upper or Upper Credit).
