Auto- Mechanic

About this role

Proforce Limited is hiring an Auto-Mechanic for its defence and manufacturing facility in Ode Remo, Ogun State. The role involves assembling, diagnosing, repairing and testing heavy-duty petrol and diesel mechanical systems across armored and tactical vehicles. The position supports the engineering and production team with high-precision mechanical work, including powertrains, suspensions and drive systems. The employer focuses on developing protective mobility solutions for government, corporate, diplomatic and private clients in Nigeria and Africa.

What you would do

• Install and integrate engines, transmissions, transfer cases and differentials according to schematics.
• Assemble and align drive shafts, steering mechanisms, suspensions, cooling units and braking systems.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and leaks using diagnostic tools and testing procedures.
• Set up and inspect engine oiling, cooling and fuel injection networks for heavy vehicles.
• Perform road tests, dyno runs and performance audits on completed vehicles.
• Rectify defects and carry out routine maintenance identified during assembly or QC inspections.

What they are asking for

• NABTEB, Trade Test Class 1, OND, or HND/BSc in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Qualified Petrol Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic; dual petrol/diesel expertise preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in vehicle assembly, heavy equipment maintenance or specialized automotive workshops.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, manual dexterity, familiarity with specialist mechanic tools and keen attention to detail.
