Proforce Industries Limited in Ogun is recruiting an Auto-Mechanic to join its engineering and production team. The role focuses on assembling, diagnosing, repairing and testing heavy-duty petrol and diesel mechanical systems in specialized and armored vehicles. The company develops and produces armored and protection-related mobile products for government, corporate, diplomatic and private clients in Nigeria and Africa. This is a full-time position based at Ode Remo, Ogun State.
What you would do
- Install, integrate, tune and test engines, transmissions, transfer cases and differentials per engineering schematics.
- Assemble and align drive shafts, steering mechanisms, heavy-duty suspensions, cooling units and hydraulic/pneumatic braking systems.
- Diagnose mechanical failures, power loss, hydraulic leaks and drive issues using diagnostic tools and testing procedures.
- Set up and inspect engine oiling, transmission cooling, fuel injection networks and air intake systems for heavy/armored vehicles.
- Perform pre-delivery performance testing including road tests and dyno runs to verify reliability and power output.
- Carry out routine maintenance, component overhauls and immediate repairs identified during assembly or quality control inspections.
What they are asking for
- Education: NABTEB, Trade Test Class 1, OND or HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related technical field.
- Specialization: Qualified Petrol Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic; dual petrol and diesel expertise preferred.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years in vehicle assembly, heavy equipment maintenance, fleet operations or specialized automotive workshops.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic problem-solving, manual dexterity, proficiency with specialised mechanic tools and high attention to detail.
