Audit Team Lead / Assistant Manager
About this role
An experienced Audit Team Lead/Assistant Manager is sought to lead multiple audit engagements, supervise teams, manage client relationships, and ensure quality delivery for SMEs and startups in Lagos. The role targets someone with several years in audit and supervisory experience who can oversee engagements from planning to reporting.
What you would do
- Lead statutory and non-statutory audit engagements from planning to completion
- Review working papers, financial statements, and audit files for IFRS and ISA compliance
- Supervise, mentor, and develop audit team members
- Evaluate internal controls, identify risks, and provide recommendations
- Manage client relationships and communicate audit findings
- Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, documentation, and billing

- 5+ years of progressive audit experience with 1-2 years in a supervisory role
- ICAN qualification mandatory
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and Nigerian tax laws
- Experience managing multiple client engagements across sectors
- Proficiency in CaseWare and accounting/audit software
