Associate Technical Planner

About this role

Associate Technical Planner role with Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited in Lagos. The role supports the OML30 portfolio by analysing data to identify production improvement opportunities, provides insights for decision making, and contributes to the annual planning and portfolio value management for HEOSL.

What you would do

• Provide input to the Annual Work Program and Budget and support cross-functional planning processes.
• Contribute to technical and commercial evaluation of reserves and resources and assist in developing Reserves Support Packages for OML-30 assets.
• Support production forecasting for short-, medium-, and long-term horizons for the asset budget planning cycle.
• Contribute to the Annual Reservoir Performance Report and prepare technical documentation and management presentation materials; explain variations and propose corrective actions.
• Track production deferment, perform sensitivity analyses, and carry out basic petroleum economic analyses.
• Perform ETL data operations and generate required monthly and annual regulatory reports.

What they are asking for

• B.Sc in Petroleum Engineering, Computer Engineering or Geoscience.
• Minimum 4 years in oil and gas, including at least 2 years working with upstream data.
• Understanding of upstream data types and data management concepts.
• Power BI and/or Tableau proficiency; knowledge of Python, R, C++, Java or VBA macros is advantageous.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with pragmatic problem solving and business acumen.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and demonstrate proactive planning and organisation.
