Associate Quantity Surveyor
About this role
Sapir Projects Limited, a Nigerian-owned company active in architecture, construction and interior design, is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor in Lagos. The role focuses on cost management for construction and interior design projects from start to finish, ensuring budgets are maintained and value is delivered. The successful candidate will support cost estimation, budgeting, bills of quantities, tender processes, and cost reporting, while collaborating with project teams, clients and contractors. The firm operates across architectural services, construction and renovation, and real estate. The position targets individuals with relevant construction or design experience and strong numerical and analytical skills.
What you would do
- Estimate project costs and manage budgeting and cost control
- Prepare Bills of Quantities and tender documents
- Oversee tendering and bidding processes
- Monitor project costs, valuations, and variations; update budgets for changes
- Review drawings and specifications for quantity and quality requirements
- Produce cost reports and periodic analyses for decision-making
- Collaborate with project teams, clients and contractors
- Prepare interim payment applications and valuations
- Conduct market surveys and support procurement with price tracking
- Advise on cost-effective construction methods and materials
What they are asking for
- B.Sc. or HND in Quantity Surveying
- Must reside in Lagos State
- 3+ years of relevant experience in construction or design environments
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and pricing
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with quantity surveying software (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD or similar is a plus)
- Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
