Associate Manager Stationery, Trade Marketing

About this role

Associate Manager, Stationery & Trade Marketing for BIC Nigeria in Lagos. The role develops and implements trade marketing plans for the stationery category, manages distributor relationships and in-store activation, and oversees budget and performance with cross-functional teams.

What you would do

• Develop and implement annual trade marketing plans by category, channel and customer.
• Translate global and regional brand strategies into locally relevant trade initiatives.
• Act as distributor's primary Marketing contact and align priorities with the Business Development Manager.
• Define and deploy merchandising and visibility guidelines and ensure in-store execution.
• Manage the trade marketing budget and track ROI and spend against plan.
• Analyse market, customer and shopper data to generate insights and coordinate with Marketing, Sales and Supply.

What they are asking for

• University degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of trade marketing experience in an FMCG company.
• Experience in a multi-market or distributor-led environment.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Revenue Growth Management principles and exposure to merchandising, POSM agencies or sales/account management with agencies.
