Associate I – Corporate, Commercial & Disputes

About this role

This is a full-time role for an Associate I in Lagos, focused on corporate, commercial and disputes work. It targets early-career lawyers and provides rigorous training, strong supervision and exposure to regulated-sector advisory matters.

What you would do

• Carry out legal research and prepare clear notes, initial drafts and issue summaries.
• Support drafting and handling agreements, correspondence, court processes, regulatory filings and transaction documents.
• Take part in matter meetings, reviews and internal training, and apply feedback carefully.
• Maintain accurate files, trackers and matter records and adhere to agreed turnaround times.
• Assist senior lawyers on client matters and progressively take ownership of defined tasks as capability develops.
• Exhibit professional discipline, reliability and a willingness to learn.
