Associate, Finance Operations (Hybrid)
About this role
The role is for an Associate in Finance Operations based in Abuja with hybrid work. It is for a management accounting and consulting firm that supports businesses and nonprofits with financial oversight, solutions and strategic insights. The position focuses on reviewing financial work, ensuring accuracy of reconciliations, month-end close, schedules and tax, and preparing client reports within a monthly cycle. What you would do
- Review reconciliations, month-end close, schedules and tax prepared by analysts and client teams and request corrections when needed
- Ensure figures are linked to source records and are accurate
- Prepare monthly client reports and provide initial interpretation of what the figures mean
- Guide and develop analysts by showing them how to correct issues
- Keep multiple client monthly cycles on schedule, ensuring closure, review and reporting
- Assist with work across the operational and reporting cycle as directed by the team
- Maintain clear, client-facing communication about report content and status

- Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) or progress towards one is advantageous
