The Assistant Manager, Human Resources role at The Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria (CloD Nigeria) in Lagos supports the Head of HR & Administration in managing the organisation's human capital and administrative operations. It coordinates core HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, employee relations and staff welfare to ensure timely, accurate and policy-compliant service delivery.
What you would do
- Coordinate recruitment activities including vacancy identification, advertising, candidate screening, testing and interview administration.
- Maintain accurate manpower and employee records and support approved staffing plans.
- Coordinate onboarding, staff induction and orientation programmes and manage offer documentation.
- Support training needs assessment and coordinate learning and development programmes (internal, external, in-house and e-learning).
- Support the performance management and appraisal cycle and maintain performance records.
- Support employee relations, staff welfare and stay/exit interviews to improve employee experience.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences or related discipline.
- Professional qualification in Human Resource Management (e.g., CIPM) is an advantage.
- 5-7 years' work experience; minimum 3 years in HR.
- Experience across recruitment, learning and development, performance management, employee relations and administration.
- Experience in a professional or membership-based organisation is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant HR/administrative applications.
