Assistant Finance Manager

About this role

The role is for an Assistant Finance Manager who will supervise accounting staff, manage budgeting and financial reporting, and ensure regulatory compliance. It targets candidates with substantial accounting experience and leadership ability, in Abuja or the surrounding area.

What you would do

• Supervise accountants and senior accountants, conduct staff appraisal and training
• Manage budgeting and budgetary control
• Improve accounting controls and processes
• Handle bank reconciliations, petty cash, foreign currency, and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare and submit VAT, withholding tax, pension, and other statutory returns
• Deliver monthly management accounts and KPI packs and support year-end audits and debt management

• MSc in Accounting
• First degree in Accounting
• Certified member of ICAN or ACCA
• 2 years experience using QuickBooks
• 6 to 8 years core accounting/management accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Oracle Financials or similar software
