Assistant Creative Designer/Content Creator

About this role

Verstand Resources Limited is seeking an Assistant Creative Designer / Content Creator in Lagos for a full-time role with a Nigerian women’s wear and high-fashion brand. The role supports the creative team in developing visual and digital content and acts as a link between clients and production, translating requests into sketches and design instructions for garment production.

What you would do

• Meet with clients to understand design needs and translate them into sketches for production
• Create detailed fashion sketches based on client requests to guide garment production
• Present approved sketches to the production team and communicate design specifications clearly
• Monitor production to ensure designs are interpreted and executed correctly
• Create graphics and marketing content for social media and other digital platforms
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to meet content schedules and deadlines

What they are asking for

• Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Fashion Production, Textile Engineering, Business Management, or related field
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in fashion design and/or creative content production
• Experience working within a fashion or women's wear brand is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, patterns, and garment construction techniques
• Excellent fashion sketching and illustration skills (hand-drawn and/or digital) and strong graphic design and content creation abilities
• Good communication, teamwork, time-management, and ability to meet deadlines
