Role: Assistant Chief Nursing Officer in Kaduna for Dragnet Nigeria. The role provides senior nursing supervision in either out-patient or in-patient care, coordinates care, supports nursing leadership and ensures compliance with clinical governance and professional standards. It is intended for experienced registered nurses with substantial post-registration experience.
What you would do
- Provide senior nursing leadership and supervision within the assigned stream.
- Supervise, mentor and appraise nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing records in adherence to clinical governance standards.
- Coordinate injection, dressing and minor-procedure clinics (out-patient stream).
- Coordinate shift handover, admission and discharge planning (in-patient stream).
- Act as a senior resource for clinical escalation and decision-making.
What they are asking for
- RN or BNSc/BSc Nursing from a recognised university, with completion of orientation/internship and NYSC (for degree holders) or valid exemption where applicable.
- Valid NMCN registration/licence and MCPDP compliance.
- Minimum of 8 years post-registration nursing experience, including substantial experience at Principal Nursing Officer grade or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and support nursing staff in either out-patient or in-patient care settings.
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to the assigned stream, nursing assessment, care planning and safe medication administration.
- Desirable: additional registrable or post-basic nursing qualifications in midwifery, public health, or specialist nursing.
