Assembly Supervisor

A full-time Assembly Supervisor role based in Onitsha, Anambra, Nigeria. The employer is a plastic manufacturing company that performs in-house production of plastic products and offers customer-focused services and fabrication. What you would do
- Oversee daily assembly operations to meet production targets within deadlines
- Allocate and coordinate tasks for assembly workers
- Monitor assembly of plastic products for quality and defect-free output
- Ensure assembled products meet company specifications
- Track workers’ attendance, punctuality, discipline and productivity
- Manage use of materials, tools and equipment to minimise waste
- Identify production challenges, equipment faults and defects and report them
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Production, Maintenance and Store teams
- Enforce safety, housekeeping and company policies in the assembly area
- Maintain production records and submit regular reports to management

- HND or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production, Production Management or related field (advantage)
- Mandatory experience in plastic manufacturing and supervising an assembly team
- Knowledge of assembly processes, production flow and quality assurance
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate a team, meet targets and work under pressure
- Good record-keeping and basic computer skills
- Disciplined, detail-oriented, proactive and results-oriented
