Artificial Lift Field Specialist
About this role
Role: Artificial Lift Field Specialist at SLB in Rivers. The job ensures safe, efficient delivery of artificial lift products and services to oil and gas customers, including supervising field installations, setting up variable speed drives, troubleshooting surface equipment and recording field data. Requires a technical qualification and substantial experience in artificial lift operations.
What you would do
- Prepare artificial lift equipment and tools
- Participate in pre-job readiness activities (CWOP, site visits, job briefs)
- Supervise field installation of artificial lift equipment
- Set up and commission Variable Speed Drives (VSD)
- Troubleshoot and repair surface equipment (VSDs, switchboards, transformers)
- Accurately capture field data to ensure timely delivery
What they are asking for
- Diploma or HND in a technical, engineering or related field
- 5-10 years' experience leading artificial lift operations including field installations, commissioning and troubleshooting ESPs, ESPCPs, HPS and VSDs
- Experience in complex ESP installations (Y-tool, Shrouds, PODs & Dual ESP systems)
- Experience in providing innovative and adaptive technical solutions and support to customers
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Strong communication skills and team player mentality
