Area Sales Manager -West Africa
About this role
Sulzer is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover West Africa from Rivers. The role involves driving sales, building relationships with customers including key accounts, leading tendering and projects, and supporting budgeting and reporting. It targets engineers with at least 10 years of sales experience in the pump industry who are willing to travel within West Africa.
What you would do
- Drive order intake, sales and profitability across assigned territories.
- Develop and execute local sales and business development strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, OEMs, EPCs and end-users.
- Lead tendering and proposal activities with the sales support team.
- Oversee project execution from tender stage to financial closure.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business reporting.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 10 years' sales experience within the pump industry or related industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, agitation and compression technologies.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within West Africa and occasionally within the region.
