About this role
A plastic manufacturing company seeks an Area Sales Manager to drive sales and expand its dealer network across the South-East and South-South regions, focusing on plastic products such as paint buckets and drums. The role targets B2B customers and aims to grow revenue while minimising bad debt, based in Aba, Abia.
What you would do
- Generate new business and secure bulk orders from B2B customers
- Manage customer accounts and collections with emphasis on cash sales or seven-day credit terms
- Strengthen brand visibility, market penetration and product availability across dealer networks
- Recruit, develop and manage at least 30 dealers and distributors in specified cities
- Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, new products and customer feedback and report weekly
- Communicate customer needs and market insights to Operations to support product improvements and development

- Strong B2B sales, prospecting, negotiation, distribution and route-to-market skills
- HND or BSc in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills and willingness to travel extensively within the territory
- Minimum of 4 years’ sales experience in plastics, packaging or related building materials
- Proven experience selling through dealers/distributors and an established dealer network across South-East and South-South Nigeria
- Results-oriented and proactive with ability to acquire and grow new customers
