Area Sales Manager (Plastic Manufacturing)
About this role
A plastic manufacturing firm in Abia is hiring an Area Sales Manager to drive sales, grow the dealer network, and expand distribution across South-East and South-South Nigeria. The role targets sales of paint buckets, drums and other plastic products, with a focus on B2B customers and revenue growth.
What you would do
- Meet monthly sales targets for plastic products including paint buckets and drums
- Recruit, develop and manage at least 30 dealers and distributors across specified cities
- Generate new business and secure bulk orders from B2B customers
- Manage customer accounts and collections, prioritising cash sales and short credit terms
- Enhance brand visibility and product availability through dealer networks
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends and provide weekly reports

- HND or BSc in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 4 years’ sales experience in plastics, packaging, domestic plastic products or building materials
- Proven experience selling through dealers and distributors with an established dealer network in South-East and South-South Nigeria
- Strong B2B sales, prospecting, negotiation, distribution and route-to-market skills
- Results-oriented, proactive and capable of acquiring new customers and growing sales
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills and willingness to travel extensively across the territory
