Archivist – Samples Warehouse

About this role

Aldelia Limited is looking for an Archivist in Rivers to manage geological samples and warehouse operations. The role focuses on coordinating movement and storage of samples from field sites and ports to warehouses, maintaining inventories and databases, and ensuring proper labelling and confidentiality. It also involves supporting HSE and training activities, handling documentation, and ensuring compliance with storage and handling requirements. The position targets candidates with a science or related background and experience in geoscience archiving and warehouse processes. What you would do

• Coordinate movement of geological samples from field locations, ports, and contractors to warehouses.
• Receive, discharge, sort, classify, and rack sample containers and related materials.
• Repackage damaged containers and relabel samples with correct labelling.
• Maintain accurate inventories and update computerized sample databases.
• Retrieve samples and coordinate packaging, dispatch, and shipment locally and internationally.
• Manage receipt and storage of empty sample boxes, bags, racks, and related materials.
• Replace damaged rack platforms and ensure proper labelling and storage.
• Prepare presentations for quarterly HSE meetings.
• Assist in monitoring and updating training plans for personnel.
• Maintain records of sample movements, storage locations, and retrieval requests

• BSc or HND in Sciences, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in geoscience archiving and sample warehouse operations.
• Experience in geological sample handling, storage, inventory control, and dispatch.
• Knowledge of labelling, barcoding, database management, and archival procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good command of English and report-writing skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and record-keeping abilities.
