Architect / Chief Designer
About this role
Nexa Realty Limited is seeking an Architectural Designer who will develop architectural concepts, create construction drawings, 3D models and renderings, and support the execution of residential and commercial projects. The role is based in Abuja and targets individuals with design proficiency, technical skills and an eye for innovative architecture. The position involves collaboration with planning, engineering and project management teams throughout project development.
What you would do
- Produce architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details
- Create accurate 3D models and photorealistic renderings for presentations and marketing
- Develop architectural concepts and design proposals for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments
- Prepare presentation materials and client visualization packages
- Ensure designs comply with building codes, planning regulations and industry standards
- Revise designs based on internal reviews and client feedback
- Participate in site visits to verify design implementation and resolve issues
- Assist in preparing documentation for planning approvals and project execution
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across project development
- Stay updated on architectural trends, materials and visualization technologies
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years professional experience in architectural design (preferred)
- Strong portfolio showing architectural design, 3D modelling and rendering capabilities
- Excellent understanding of architectural design principles, space planning and detailing
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Lumion, Revit (as applicable)
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong 3D modelling and rendering abilities
- Good understanding of construction methods and building materials
- Creative thinking with attention to detail
