Joes & Eves in Lagos is seeking an Architect to develop concepts, designs and detailed drawings for residential and commercial projects, and to manage construction documents. The role involves site visits, coordination with engineers, contractors and other stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with building codes and standards. It is suitable for candidates with an architecture degree and relevant professional experience who can work independently and as part of a team.
What you would do
- Develop architectural concepts, designs, and detailed drawings for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare, review and coordinate architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D designs and presentations using relevant architectural software.
- Conduct site visits, measurements, inspections and assessments.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor construction works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications and quality standards.
What they are asking for
- B.Arch or M.Arch in Architecture from a recognised university.
- ARCON professional qualification/registration is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant architectural/design software.
- Experience with Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, 3ds Max, Photoshop or similar tools is an advantage.
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and architectural detailing.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and effectively within a team; and relevant professional experience in architectural design and/or construction.
