About this role

The Analytics & Target Setting Officer role at First Bank of Nigeria Limited in Lagos supports the Unit Head of Risk Analysis & Profiling in delivering routine and ad hoc operational risk analyses and profiling, using data analytics to turn risk data into insights for decision making. It is intended for someone with banking risk management experience and strong data analysis skills.

What you would do

• Support the Unit Head in delivering routine and ad hoc operational risk outputs.
• Analyse KRI data to identify root causes and loss drivers, including trend analysis and deep dive reviews of risk themes such as fraud.
• Collate external risk analysis data and flag potential threats for targeted reviews.
• Ensure the integrity of data inputs and outputs and alignment to business unit risk profiles.
• Develop risk reports to assess the bank's operational risk exposures.
• Support and participate in developing the Risk and Control Library for all products, processes, systems and activities with process owners and stakeholders.

What they are asking for

• First degree in Applied Sciences; an advanced degree is desirable.
• Minimum four years of relevant banking experience in Risk Management Analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis using MS Excel and Power BI; familiarity with Tableau.
• Knowledge of data gathering and analysis using modern tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of operational risk management concepts, risk control and governance, risk modelling and corporate governance; familiarity with CBN Prudential Guidelines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
