About this role

Regional Manager, Agency & Merchants (North-West) for Smartcash PSB is responsible for growing merchant acquisition and revenue by engaging and onboarding new merchants for payment processing services. The role is based in Lagos and targets market penetration and relationships within the merchant segment.

What you would do

• Drive revenue targets by acquiring new merchants in the area.
• Analyse merchant performance metrics to optimise growth.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing with potential merchants.
• Identify opportunities to expand the merchant base and develop acquisition plans.
• Oversee recharge sales management from strategy development to execution to meet targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential merchants and support the sales process while ensuring regulatory compliance.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Marketing, Business Management, Engineering or Computer Science; MBA or Management qualification an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of commercial/business management experience.
• Team leadership experience; 3 years of relevant experience in products management and fintech.
• Computer literacy; sales knowledge; product/service development. Experience in financial services, banking, PSB and fintech is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to analyse data and drive revenue growth.
• Understanding of industry and company products/services.
