Agricultural Science Teacher

Stella Maris High School in Abuja is seeking an Agricultural Science Teacher for junior and senior secondary levels. What you would do
- Prepare and deliver Agricultural Science lessons according to the approved curriculum.
- Teach topics such as crop production, animal husbandry, soil science and farm management.
- Organise practical demonstrations and agricultural activities to enhance understanding.
- Supervise school gardening, farming and agricultural projects where facilities are available.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations including WAEC and NECO where applicable.
- Develop lesson plans, assess student performance, mark scripts and maintain records.
- Teach safe use of farm tools and responsible handling of agricultural materials.
- Promote awareness of modern agricultural practices, environmental sustainability and food production.

- Relevant degree or approved qualification in Agricultural Science, Agricultural Education or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Recognised professional teaching qualification, where applicable.
- Valid TRCN registration/licence as required by regulations and school policy.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural principles, crop production, animal husbandry and practical farming techniques.
- Ability to organise practical activities and supervise student projects.
- Competence in lesson planning, student assessment and classroom management.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in digital teaching tools, including Smartboard use.
