Accounts Officer

The role is for an Accounts Officer at Framegidi Limited in Lagos, reporting to the Operations Lead and Directors. It focuses on keeping accurate financial records, processing transactions, supporting budgeting and financial reporting, and ensuring statutory compliance. What you would do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain the General Ledger and record all financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closings.
• Assist in annual budgeting and periodic financial forecasts; analyse variances.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and reconcile customer and supplier statements; resolve discrepancies.
• Process supplier invoices and manage timely payments; monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Support payroll preparation and verify payroll data; manage petty cash and cash transactions.
• Maintain inventory accounting records and fixed asset register, including depreciation where applicable.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for VAT, WHT, PAYE, ITF, NSITF and Pension contributions; prepare filings.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support audit documentation.

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN (added advantage).
• Minimum of three years' accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and detail-oriented skills.
• Good organisational and time management abilities; ability to meet deadlines.
• High integrity, confidentiality and professionalism; strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Candidates must reside within Central Lagos (Ilupeju, Ketu, Surulere, Maryland, etc.).
