Accounting/Tax/Audit Supervisor

BDS Consult in Ikeja, Lagos is seeking an experienced Accounting/Tax/Audit Supervisor. The role requires expertise in tax administration, accounting, auditing and bookkeeping, with the ability to prepare management accounts and financial statements. The candidate should have skills in training, business development, client sourcing and delivering training programmes, as well as strong financial analysis and leadership capabilities. Experience in growing a training or advisory business and engaging SME clients is essential. The position demands strong communication, analytical thinking, confidentiality, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
What you would do
- Apply knowledge of accounting, auditing and tax management in client work.
- Prepare cash flow statements, income and expenditure accounts, statements of affairs, management accounts and financial statements.
- Conduct audit functions and provide consultancy on tax matters.
- Identify training topics, prepare training proposals and create training presentations.
- Source potential clients and organise open programme trainings.
- Identify and pursue SME clients and opportunities to grow the firm’s business.
- Assist clients with credit applications and financial statement requirements (balance sheets, cash flow, income and expenditure).
- Develop business plans for micro and SME clients and perform credit analysis.
- Engage and manage client relationships to support revenue growth.
What they are asking for
- Minimum of 5 years proven work experience in an accounting/auditing firm.
- Must have worked in or be currently in an accounting/auditing firm within the last 5 years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and QuickBooks.
- HND/BSc/BA in Accounting.
- ACCA/ICAN membership or student status is a plus. MSc/MBA is a plus.
