Accounting / Inventory Assistant

About this role

An Accounting / Inventory Assistant position with Lopterra in Lagos. The role provides support to the organisation's accounting and inventory management, including maintaining financial and inventory records, processing invoices and transactions, and assisting with stock reconciliation and reporting.

What you would do

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes and postings.
• Maintain records of purchases, suppliers, sales and customers.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments and other financial transactions.
• Monitor stock levels and movements; assist with regular stock counts and reconciliations.
• Prepare periodic financial and inventory reports and assist budgeting and forecasting.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

What they are asking for

• Minimum of OND / HND / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3 years' experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP software such as SAP, Sage, Tally or Peachtree.
• Proficiency in stock valuation, tracking movement and FIFO reconciliation.
• Strong aptitude for data analysis to identify variances, monitor stock levels and generate reports.
• Organisational and multitasking abilities; ability to work with minimal supervision.
