Green Africa in Lagos is seeking an Accounting and Finance Operations Intern to support the organisation’s day-to-day financial activities, including maintaining records, processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and assisting with accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, tax compliance and audits. The role is intended for a candidate with a finance or accounting degree, NYSC completed, and 1–2 years of related experience.
What you would do
- Maintain accurate accounting records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts and supporting documents
- Review source documents to validate, classify and record financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage accounts payable processes, including processing supplier invoices and authorising payments
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support financial reporting and month-end close, including preparing schedules and management information
- Assist with tax, audit and regulatory activities and ensure compliance with internal controls

- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting, including month-end activities
