Accountant (Payable & Receivable)
About this role
Westfield Consulting is seeking an Accountant (Payables & Receivables) for its Delta office. The role manages the company’s payables and receivables, including processing supplier invoices, issuing client invoices, and maintaining financial records. It requires ensuring timely payments, effective collections, and compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
What you would do
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Generate client invoices and monitor collections
- Maintain customer account records and receipts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual payables and receivables reports
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations
What they are asking for
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 5–7 years accounting experience, with at least 3 years in oil & gas or related industries
- Professional certification (ACA or ACCA)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws and petroleum industry regulations
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle or similar)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills; leadership abilities
