Accountant in a Travel Agency - The Pistis Firm
About this role
A travel agency in Mabushi, Abuja is looking to hire an Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role focuses on maintaining accurate records, overseeing transactions, budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. What you would do
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations and internal controls.
- Liaise with auditors, banks and regulatory bodies as required.
- Monitor company expenses and maintain supporting documentation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Support management with financial analysis and cost-control strategies.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, invoicing and payroll.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (depending on requirements).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Tally and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
