Accountant - Festac I

About this role

An experienced Accountant role for Rekopel Resources Ltd in Lagos, within the hospitality sector. What you would do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supervise daily revenue ledgers.
• Prepare schedules of statutory dues and ensure prompt payment.
• Collaborate with management and the internal audit unit to formulate internal control procedures.
• Review internal controls and recommend modifications to management.
• Ensure expenses stay within budget and obtain basic approvals for all expenses.
• Supervise monthly stock taking and stock reconciliation and ensure compliance with inventory procedures.

What they are asking for

• HND or BSc in Accounting.
• ICAN and/or AAT with relevant experience; advanced ICAN stage is an added advantage.
• Candidates with ICAN AAT2/Foundation may also apply.
• At least seven years of experience, including three years in a similar role at a four/five star hotel.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word and knowledge of at least one accounting software.
• Lagos resident or resident near Festac; open to both male and female candidates.
