About this role

The role is for an experienced Accountant to join Rekopel Resources Ltd in Abuja, part of a hospitality brand with multiple city branches. The position requires handling monthly management accounts, revenue ledgers, statutory dues, and internal controls. What you would do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supervise daily revenue ledgers.
• Prepare schedules of statutory dues and ensure timely payment.
• Collaborate with management and internal audit on internal control procedures.
• Review internal controls and recommend modifications to management.
• Ensure expenses stay within budget and obtain necessary approvals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of inventory management and supervise monthly stock taking and reconciliation.
• Prepare or supervise monthly bank reconciliations with other officers.
• Coordinate with procurement and store on payment schedules for creditors and liaise with front desk on receivables.
• Coordinate a large team of accounts staff and cashiers.
• Maintain proficiency in Excel, Word and accounting software.

• ICAN AAT qualification, with relevant experience; advanced ICAN considered an added advantage
• Experience in using Excel, Word and at least one accounting software
• At least 6 years total accounting experience, including 3 years in a similar role in a hotel environment (four/five star)
• Ability to oversee and coordinate a team of accounts staff and cashiers
• Good knowledge of inventory management and stock reconciliation
