About this role
The role is for a qualified accountant to join Design Union Limited in Lagos (Lekki area) on a full-time basis. The company operates in real estate development with divisions in building design, construction, real estate development and hospitality. The accountant will support budgeting, compliance, financial reporting and reconciliations, working with internal and external auditors as needed.
What you would do
- Assist with budgeting and variance analysis, and monitor cash flow.
- Coordinate with auditors by providing documentation and explanations.
- Prepare and file statutory tax returns such as VAT, withholding tax and corporate tax.
- Conduct regular bank, vendor and intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger, process daily transactions, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including P&L and balance sheets.

- Qualified Accountant (ACA).
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance (1st or 2nd Class Upper).
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE or SAP), MS Office and PowerPoint.
