Ignite Energy Access is recruiting a full-time Accountant to join its Lagos-based finance team. The role supports regulatory compliance, inventory management, month-end closing, and monthly reconciliations, reporting to the Tax Coordinator and collaborating with other departments. It involves managing landed cost calculations, inventory controls, tax compliance, audits, and coordination with external stakeholders. What you would do
- Compute landed cost by capturing procurement, freight, customs, and logistics expenses for inventory valuation and reporting.
- Monitor and renew insurance cover and manage asset insurance requirements.
- Review weekly payment schedules to ensure correct tax applications.
- Participate in desk reviews, tax audits, and annual external audits.
- Collaborate with Operations Inventory Manager on physical and cycle counts across warehouses and service centres.
- Ensure accuracy of Kit BOM records and handle kit production/disassembly as needed.
- Work with stakeholders to eliminate inventory loss and improve workflow processes.
- Reconcile compliance-related general ledgers and propose adjustment journals monthly.
- Participate in compliance projects and manage SLOBs with management to maximise value.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders (tax consultants, insurers, vendors, auditors) and perform monthly inventory reconciliations against Odoo counts and values.

- HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role.
- English language proficiency.
- Strong income statement and balance sheet analysis skills.
- Attention to detail and good organisational abilities.
- Team-oriented with integrity and resourcefulness in improving accounting efficiency.
- Proficiency in computer tools and accounting software, preferably Odoo.
