What you would do
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate on annual budgets and forecasts and analyse variances.
- Process payroll, including wages, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Maintain general ledgers and record daily transactions; reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare and file corporate and local tax returns in compliance with laws.
- Support audits and implement internal controls to prevent fraud.
- Review financial records and analyse data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to improve profitability.
- Assist external or internal auditors with required documentation.
