An experienced Accountant is sought by Castville Solutions in Lagos to manage the company’s financial records and day-to-day accounting activities. The role involves tracking daily sales, expenses, cash flow, production costs and inventory, and providing financial reports to support the furniture business. The position requires working with procurement, sales, operations and production teams to ensure proper financial controls.
What you would do
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
- Monitor daily sales, expenses, income, and cash flow.
- Track production costs and manage inventory, reconciling stock records with financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and follow up on receivables.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgets, monitoring actual expenses against budgets.
- Process payroll and keep accurate employee payment records.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- 2 - 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, furniture, retail, or related industry.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
- Good understanding of inventory and product costing.
