About this role
An Accountant is needed to maintain financial integrity for the business unit, deliver accurate financial reporting, control costs and provide financial analysis to aid managerial decisions. The role targets a commercially minded finance professional capable of partnering with operations to enhance profitability and efficiency. Location is Jos, Plateau state.
What you would do
- Keep complete and accurate books of account for the business unit
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports
- Monitor revenues, production costs, operating expenses, margins and profitability
- Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts, general ledger and key balance sheet items
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities and supervise finance support staff
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or advanced stage) preferred
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, reconciliations and ledger management
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial operations or unit finance an advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel
