About this role

Elvaridah is hiring an Accountant to manage the financial records and day-to-day financial operations for the property in Lagos. The role involves recording revenue from room bookings and services, monitoring expenses, and supporting budgeting and financial reporting. What you would do

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the property
• Record and reconcile daily income from room bookings, accommodation, services, and other revenue streams
• Monitor and track expenses, purchases, petty cash, and operational payments
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports and management accounts
• Perform bank, cash and payment reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and settlement of invoices

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within hospitality, serviced apartments, hotels, real estate, or a similar operational environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with hospitality/property management systems is an advantage
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and expense monitoring
