Multixept Associates Limited in Abuja seeks an in house Accountant to consolidate financial control across three related businesses in architecture, construction and property development. The role involves building and implementing an accounting system and controls from scratch, managing separate books for each legal entity, and providing monthly and quarterly reports, payroll, statutory remittances and audit support. The appointment reports to the Managing Director for financial approvals and to the Executive Director for operational compliance. It is a full-time position requiring autonomous work with final accounting decisions subject to MD approval. What you would do
- Assess current financial and statutory position of each business
- Establish the accounting system and internal controls
- Reconcile opening balances for the entities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Manage payroll processes
- handle statutory remittances
- Ensure payments are supported by complete documentation
- Support audit and due diligence requests
- Maintain separate ledgers for each legal entity with proper separation
- Develop and uphold financial discipline and governance

- at least five years post-qualification experience
- experience keeping separate records for multiple legal entities with strict separation
- current knowledge of Nigerian statutory compliance (PAYE, pension, NSITF, NHF, VAT, withholding tax, company income tax)
- ability to work with autonomy with final MD approval for material decisions
- experience running payroll and ensuring complete paper trails for payments
- advantage if experienced in professional services, construction or real estate development
- proven experience building financial systems and controls from scratch
- not a bookkeeping or maintenance role
- comfortable with building and implementing finance functions from the ground up
