Account Officer in a Pharmaceutical Company - BridgeHedge Limited

About this role

A pharmaceutical company in Lagos is looking for an Account Officer to manage daily accounting tasks, inventory control, stock reconciliation and financial record-keeping. The role is based in Okota/Isolo with a hybrid work model (four days on-site and one day remote weekly). The candidate should coordinate between accounts, sales, procurement and warehouse teams and ensure accurate stock and financial documentation for management review.

What you would do

• Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts and financial documents
• Keep up-to-date accounting records for management review
• Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses and payments
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
• Document and authorise financial transactions appropriately
• Assist with budgeting, expense tracking and basic financial analysis
• Help prepare financial reports, expense summaries and periodic statements
• Prepare basic periodic financial, sales and inventory reports
• Reconcile cash, bank statements and other financial records
• Monitor stock receipts, dispatches, returns and adjustments

What they are asking for

• HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, inventory management or combined accounts and inventory role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong numerical, analytical, organisational and record-keeping skills
• Experience with accounting or inventory management software is an added advantage
• Ability to identify discrepancies, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping and inventory control procedures
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, retail or distribution sectors is advantageous
• Must be able to commute to Okota office on on-site workdays
