About this role
Proforce Limited is seeking an Account Officer for its manufacturing facility in Ode Remo, Ogun State. The role focuses on daily financial transactions, cost accounting for manufacturing and engineering, project budgeting, and financial reporting across vehicle production and armored vehicle units. The position supports finance and operations within a heavy engineering and defence manufacturing environment. The employer operates in the automotive and defence manufacturing sector in Nigeria and Africa.
What you would do
- Maintain general ledgers and prepare balance sheets; process payables and receivables; post daily financial transactions.
- Track and allocate direct and indirect production costs, raw materials, direct labour, and factory overheads for vehicle production.
- Monitor budget allocations against actual expenditures and perform variance analysis to control costs.
- Conduct periodic inventory reconciliations; assess raw materials and track work-in-progress; reconcile BOM costs for vehicle builds.
- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and GRNs; manage vendor payment schedules.
- Assist with payroll processing; compute withholding tax, VAT, PAYE; assist with tax filings.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and bank reconciliation reports; support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with engineering/project managers on cost tracking and reporting.
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- ICAN or ACCA qualification strongly preferred or actively pursuing membership.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing, heavy engineering, or defence environments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; high numerical accuracy; analytical and detail-oriented.
