Account Officer
About this role
An Account Officer role in Lagos for candidates with strong accounting experience, ideally with exposure to real estate or property management. The position focuses on maintaining financial records, processing payments, reconciliations, and preparing reports for management.
What you would do
- Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions and bookkeeping records
- Reconcile supplier statements and liaise with vendors to resolve invoice queries
- Process customer payments and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with budgeting and financial analysis
- Monitor cash flow and assist with audits by providing required documentation
- Support month-to-month financial operations and collaborate with other departments to ensure financial controls

- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Banking & Finance, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant accounting experience
- Professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA) is an added advantage
- Experience in real estate, property management, construction or related industry is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
