Account Officer role in a Lagos-based manufacturing and export company, designed for candidates with accounting experience and professional qualification progress. The position involves financial reporting, reconciliation, and inventory accounting within the Accounts and Finance department.
What you would do
- Analyse product margins, logistics costs and operating expenses
- Prepare daily cash reports, monthly management accounts and profit and loss statements
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers
- Monitor supplier advances, customer balances and receivables
- Prepare cashbooks, journals, ledgers, payment vouchers and bank reconciliations
- Conduct inventory reconciliation and investigate stock discrepancies
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Accounting or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- ICAN or ANAN qualification or progress towards professional qualification is advantageous
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience in trading, manufacturing, recycling, distribution or inventory-intensive operations preferred
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
