Account Manager

About this role

Account Manager role with G126 Travels in Lagos to oversee the organisation’s financial health, including planning, budgeting, reporting and regulatory compliance, while providing strategic financial insights to support growth. The position is for an experienced finance professional with at least five years in accounting or finance; experience in travel, hospitality or service sectors is preferred.

What you would do

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management
• Prepare timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor expenditure, and provide variance analysis
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk; ensure tax compliance and statutory filings
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other financial institutions
• Implement internal controls and supervise the finance team; support cost optimisation

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
• ICAN certification is mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting; travel/hospitality/service industry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and IFRS
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; ERP experience is an advantage
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and communication skills
