About this role
Lead Technician III (Access Clockspring) based in Lagos for a consultancy services provider. The role involves planning and carrying out rope-access tasks, inspecting equipment and supporting related inspection, coating or repair activities, while maintaining safe positioning and participating in permit-to-work controls. It is suitable for candidates with IRATA recognised rope-access competence and experience in industrial, construction, oil and gas, or marine projects.
What you would do
- Plan and perform rope-access tasks in accordance with approved procedures and access plans.
- Inspect ropes, harnesses, anchors, connectors and other access equipment before use.
- Support inspection, NDT, coating, welding, repair or specialist activities while maintaining safe positioning.
- Establish exclusion zones and maintain effective communication with the work team.
- Record work completed, defects identified, measurements and equipment status.
- Participate in rescue planning, toolbox talks, risk assessments and permit-to-work controls.
