About this role
Proforce Industries Limited in Ogun is hiring an AC Technician (Automotive HVAC) to join its engineering and production team at the Ode Remo facility. The role focuses on installing, diagnosing, repairing, and testing HVAC systems for a range of vehicle lines, including armored and specialized vehicles. The company operates in automotive and defence manufacturing, delivering protective mobility products for government, corporate, diplomatic, and private clients. The position is full-time and located in Ogun State.
What you would do
- Install and charge automotive air conditioning systems on vehicle lines.
- Perform pressure testing, vacuum evacuation, leak detection, and dye tracing to identify refrigerant issues.
- Wire and integrate climate control components into the vehicle electrical harness.
- Safely recover, recycle, and recharge refrigerants according to standards.
- Conduct pre-delivery climate tests under extreme conditions to assess cooling and airflow.
- Carry out routine maintenance, component overhauls, and HVAC troubleshooting as needed.
What they are asking for
- NABTEB, Trade Test Class 1, OND, or HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on automotive AC installation and repair experience in a vehicle assembly plant, heavy equipment facility, or specialized automotive workshop.
- Strong diagnostic problem-solving abilities and proficiency with manifold gauge sets, vacuum pumps, leak detectors, and strong safety focus.
- Knowledge of automotive thermodynamics, refrigeration cycles, and environmental regulations related to refrigerants.
- Understanding of automotive electrical and electronic controls, including sensors, relays, and ECUs.
- Experience with heavy vehicle or armored cabin HVAC integration and reading technical schematics.
