What you would do
- Install and charge automotive air conditioning systems on vehicle assembly lines.
- Perform pressure testing, vacuum evacuation, leak detection, and dye tracing to locate refrigerant leaks or component failures.
- Wire and integrate climate control components into the vehicle electrical harness.
- Safely recover, recycle and recharge refrigerants in line with safety standards.
- Conduct pre-delivery climate testing under extreme temperatures to assess cooling performance and durability.
- Carry out routine maintenance, component overhauls, and HVAC troubleshooting identified during assembly or QC inspections.
What they are asking for
- Education in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field (NABTEB, Trade Test Class 1, OND, or HND/BSc).
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on automotive AC installation and repair experience in vehicle assembly, heavy equipment, or specialized automotive workshop.
